No spying
We do not spy on you. We do not use our software to secretly watch, listen to, record, or read what you do outside of our products and services.
We do not collect private files, browser history, keystrokes, microphone or camera recordings, precise location, or unrelated app activity unless you knowingly provide it to us or a feature clearly asks for that access and you choose to use it. Diagnostics, logs, analytics, crash data, and security records are used to run, secure, debug, support, and improve our products.
1. Who this policy applies to
This Global Privacy Policy applies to products and services operated by the applicable Emagenware entity. Depending on the application, website, store listing, invoice, order page, publisher account, project page, or service, that entity may be Emagenware Inc., Mwynhad Softworks LLC, or another Emagenware-controlled publisher identified for that product. In this policy, "Emagenware," "Company," "we," "us," and "our" mean the applicable entity.
This policy applies to our websites, games, Minecraft mods, desktop applications, web products, internal tools, client systems, accounts, downloads, support, email, social pages, forms, and related services. It does not replace the privacy policies of third-party platforms, storefronts, payment processors, mod hosts, game platforms, social networks, or client organizations.
2. Personal information we collect
The information we collect depends on the product or service you use. We may collect contact information such as name, email address, phone number, company, social handle, or mailing address when you contact us, apply for work, buy from us, request support, or use a service that needs contact information.
We may collect account and profile information such as username, display name, login credentials, authentication identifiers, profile settings, user IDs, server IDs, project IDs, or account preferences when a product uses accounts or identity features.
We may collect purchase and transaction information such as product purchased, order ID, invoice records, subscription status, license status, refund requests, payment status, and storefront or payment processor references. We generally do not directly store full payment card numbers when payments are handled by third-party processors.
We may collect support and communication information such as emails, bug reports, crash details you send, logs you provide, screenshots, attachments, feedback, survey responses, job applications, resumes, portfolio links, and messages sent to us.
We may collect technical and usage information such as IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, app version, game version, mod version, server environment, crash reports, diagnostics, logs, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP address, pages visited, referrers, download events, feature usage, and security events.
We may collect gameplay, app, or service data when needed for a specific product, such as save data, settings, scores, leaderboard entries, server data, content IDs, moderation records, session activity, preferences, or other product-specific data.
For client systems and internal tools, we may process business, staff, artist, user, operational, workflow, access, project, or company data provided by the client or its users. In those cases, the client may control what information is entered into the system.
3. Sources of information
We collect information directly from you, from your device or browser, from the product or service you use, from third-party platforms you use to access our products, from payment or storefront providers, from hosting and infrastructure providers, from client organizations that provide access to internal tools, and from public sources when you interact with us publicly.
4. How we use information
We use information to provide, operate, maintain, secure, update, debug, and improve our products and services. This includes delivering downloads, licenses, accounts, support, purchases, refunds, updates, moderation, security, analytics, compatibility work, crash diagnosis, and customer communication.
We use information to respond to support requests, business inquiries, job applications, bug reports, abuse reports, legal requests, and user communications.
We use information to protect our users, communities, products, infrastructure, clients, and rights, including detecting abuse, fraud, security issues, unauthorized access, cheating, spam, misuse, and violations of our terms.
We may use information to comply with law, enforce agreements, maintain business records, resolve disputes, collect amounts owed, and complete corporate, accounting, tax, compliance, or administrative tasks.
5. Cookies, analytics, and similar technologies
Our websites and web products may use cookies, local storage, log files, analytics tools, or similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, understand traffic, protect security, and improve performance. Browser settings may allow you to block or delete cookies, but some features may not work correctly without them.
Some third-party platforms or embedded services may use their own cookies or tracking technologies under their own policies.
6. How we disclose information
We may disclose information to service providers and contractors who help us operate our business, including hosting providers, infrastructure providers, email providers, analytics providers, payment processors, storefronts, customer support tools, development tools, security tools, and professional advisors.
We may disclose information to third-party platforms when you use our products through those platforms, such as app stores, game stores, mod distribution services, payment systems, social networks, hosting providers, or multiplayer infrastructure.
For client systems and internal tools, information may be disclosed to or controlled by the client organization that uses or administers that system. If your employer, label, company, server, or organization gave you access, that organization may be able to access information you submit or generate in that tool.
We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, legal process, governmental request, or to protect rights, safety, security, users, property, and services.
We may disclose information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, sale, transfer, restructuring, bankruptcy, or other business transaction involving some or all of our business or assets.
7. Sale of personal information and targeted advertising
We do not knowingly sell personal information for money. We also do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly used in U.S. state privacy laws. If our practices change, we will update this policy and provide any required choices.
8. Data retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including providing products and services, supporting users, maintaining records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, protecting security, and meeting legal, tax, accounting, or compliance obligations.
Retention periods vary by product and data type. For example, support emails, business records, transaction records, logs, account data, crash reports, moderation records, job applications, and client tool data may have different retention periods.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you believe you found a security issue involving an Emagenware product or service, contact us at hello@emagenware.com.
10. Your choices and rights
You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection regarding personal information we control, subject to applicable law and verification. You may also contact us to opt out of non-essential communications.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under laws such as U.S. state privacy laws, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, the European Union General Data Protection Regulation, the United Kingdom GDPR, or other local laws. We will respond to legally required requests as required by applicable law.
If information is controlled by a third-party platform or by a client organization, you may need to send your request to that platform or organization. For example, a storefront may control purchase account data, and a client may control information in an internal tool it administers.
11. Children
Our products and services are not intended to collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without legally required consent. If you believe a child provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Some games, mods, or community products may be used by younger users through third-party platforms, servers, or stores. Parents and guardians should review the privacy and account settings of those platforms.
12. International users
Emagenware is based in the United States. If you access our products or services from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have data protection laws different from your country.
13. Job applicants
If you apply to work with us, we may collect information such as your name, email address, resume, portfolio, code samples, work history, education, references, communications, and any other information you choose to provide. We use applicant information to evaluate candidates, communicate with applicants, make hiring decisions, and maintain hiring records.
14. Third-party links and platforms
Our products and websites may link to third-party websites, stores, social pages, repositories, payment processors, mod hosts, or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this policy.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where required by law or where practical.
